Tameer Holdings of the United Arab Emirates says that it plans to install a 33-story LED screen on the side of a yet-to-be constructed commercial skyscraper called “The Podium” in Majan, Dubai.

The screen's massive curved facade will be visible from 1.5 miles away, the company claims, and will be a medium for advertising, messages and art.

Highly-reflective tinted glass will be utilized to achieve "astounding visual quality," Tameer's web site says, as the screen gives off an elegant bluish sapphire glow. Aluminum panels, mullions and canopies will frame the glass components in buffed natural aluminum.

The Podium is set to be finished in 2011. It will include 33 levels of commercial space and another six floors of parking and retail.
