Inventronics Rolls Out 40W Family of LED Lighting Power Supplies Date Announced: 23 Nov 2009 Hangzhou, China – November 23, 2009 - Inventronics has announced the availability of a broad array of 40W power supplies for LED lighting application including a total of 23 new models including constant voltage drivers, constant current drivers and constant current drivers with built-in dimming. Each of these models has already been approved to UL8750 and is compliant to EN61347.
The EUC-040S series provides a constant current output at 40W. The EUC-040S is available in 9 different current levels from 350mA to 3330mA. All of the constant current models are available with an optional dimming feature.
Dimming, on the drivers having this feature, is accomplished with a 0-10V input signal that scales the output current linearly with the applied voltage. To simplify application, the driver also provides a 10V reference output that may be used to generate the dimming input with a potentiometer or resistor divider network.
The EUV-040S is constant voltage driver delivering up to 40W. The series offers five different output voltages from 12V up to 48V. All of the models announced here provide excellent power factor correction (0.99 at 110Vac) and provide from 84% to 88% efficiency depending on the model. The lifetime of these drivers is calculated at about 77,000 hours when operating at 80% load with an ambient temperature of 45°C.
Each of the models in this family are packaged in a rugged plastic housing which is IP66 rated allowing for use in indoor and outdoor applications. Each of these products also feature robust lightning protection as well as over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection and operate over an ambient temperature range of -20 to 70°C.
