Ruud Lighting Inc. promotes Kevin Orth to Vice President, Sales Date Announced: 22 Nov 2010 Racine, Wis. — Ruud Lighting Incorporated is promoting Kevin Orth to vice president, sales. Orth is responsible for the company’s Ruud Lighting®, Kramer Lighting® and BetaLED® business in the United States.
Formerly director of specification sales for Ruud Lighting’s Beta Lighting and Kramer Lighting divisions, Orth joined the company in 1994. In his 16 years with the organization, he has worked in several sales roles including customer service and national accounts.
“Kevin is an important part of our successful BetaLED and LEDway® product lines and I am confident that he will continue to play a key role in our evolving LED business,” stated Christopher Ruud, president of Ruud Lighting.
Orth has been instrumental in the sales and specification process for numerous cities, utility companies and state departments of transportation that have selected and installed BetaLED luminaires including Los Angeles and Anchorage. He has broad experience speaking on the subjects of LED lighting and successful sales strategies to organizations that include the Illuminating Engineering Society and is a regular guest speaker at universities and sustainability conferences.
Orth received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
