Luminis' Aramis and Syrios LED luminaires chosen for inclusion in 2014 IES Progress Report
Nov. 6, 2014
Annual publication recognizes significant contribution to lighting industry
Luminis (www.luminis.com), an established innovator and manufacturer of specification grade lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that its Aramis AR150 and Syrios family have been selected for inclusion in the 2014 IES Progress Report, an annual publication dedicated to recognizing significant contributions to the lighting industry.
Published by the Illuminating Engineering Society, a collegial community dedicated to improving the lighted environment, the IES Progress Committee’s mission is to track developments in the art and science of lighting worldwide.
Aramis AR150 is a high power cylindrical pendant LED luminaire that combines a clean design aesthetic with high light output for use in interior applications such as shopping malls, retail stores, convention centers, sports centers and transportation terminals. Heat management optimization means the Aramis AR150 delivers a luminous efficacy three times that of a conventional HID light source.
The Syrios family of fully engineered and integrated exterior luminaires have been designed for maximum lighting performance. Wall, pendant, and surface ceiling mounted configurations in various diameters provide the flexibility to mix and match products while maintaining a common design aesthetic within traditional or contemporary architectural settings such as schools, public spaces, office buildings, shopping centers and hospitals. Syrios products also feature a unique integral adjustable lamp to enable precise directional light without disturbing the position of the luminaire.
“In this rapidly changing industry, Luminis continues to be at the forefront of product innovation. Our Aramis and Syrios products deliver exceptional performance while maintaining unparalleled design integrity,” said Nicolas Cohen, president of Luminis. “Being selected for the IES Progress report is a testament to our commitment to innovation, as well as to our goal of pushing the lighting industry forward with well designed, high performance luminaires.”
Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the Committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry. Accepted submittals will be recognized at the Annual Conference in November 2014, as well as be posted on the IES website and published in LD+A magazine.
