Illuminating Engineering Society selects Hubbell Lighting LED luminaires for Annual Progress Report
Sept. 2, 2016
Greenville, SC – Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced that four of its leading edge lighting solutions have been selected for the 2016 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Report. Hubbell Lighting has secured 27 selections in the last three years.
The Progress Report’s new product, application, research, design tool and publication submittals are reviewed by the IES Progress Committee, which is responsible for monitoring developments in the art and science of lighting worldwide. The committee membership is comprised of lighting industry professionals who possess expertise in varied areas within the field. Each submittal goes through a comprehensive judging process and is evaluated for uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.
This year's selections include:
• The EV4R from Dual-Lite. The EV4R is the first LED low profile recessed emergency light that is not concealed, has no moving parts and is designed to be fixed to the ceiling. The EV4R’s unique design enables it blend in with the ceiling, yet provide the extended spacing and high performance customers have come to expect from Dual-Lite. It is also the only IC rated LED emergency luminaire on the market.
• The MD6 from Prescolite. The MD6 is a 6" high lumen LED downlight that offers the highest delivered lumen package (9,000) in the industry with a 6” aperture. The high lumen output allows for a reduction in the fixture count needed to achieve target performance thus reducing overall cost.
• The ArcheType X Site/Area from Kim Lighting. The ArcheType X is the first and only architectural outdoor site/area luminaire family with user-defined AGi32 Design Isolines lighting distributions. While standard IES distributions are available, designers place light where it’s needed with higher target efficiency.
• The LZPT - LED Zero Plenum Troffer from Columbia Lighting. The LZPT is an industry first. It features a patented telescoping method that minimizes installation depth to as little as 3" in low plenum ceilings, making it easier to install than any other product on the market.
The IES Progress Committee selections for this year will be presented at the IES Annual Conference on October 24, 2016, in Orlando, Florida. For more information, please visit www.ies.org.
