April 23, 2020, NEW YORK —The Designers Lighting Forum of New York and the LEDucation committee announced the LEDucation 2020 Trade Show and Conference, previously rescheduled for August 18–19, 2020, will not take place due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.
LEDucation 2021 is scheduled for March 16–17 at the New York Hilton Midtown pending improved conditions.
"Due to the continuing impacts surrounding COVID-19, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel LEDucation 2020,” said LEDucation Co-Chairs Burt Grant and Caroline Rinker. “We are disappointed that we are unable to hold LEDucation 2020 for the lighting community. However, the health and welfare of our exhibitors and attendees is our top priority, and feel that this is the right decision based on the information we have today. Our thoughts remain with those who have been directly affected by the virus, and to all those who are struggling with the ramifications of this health crisis.”
“We are faced with an unprecedented level of uncertainty for what will occur in the coming months, and this decision will allow us to come together again when there is more clarity regarding our collective health,” said Francesca Bastianini, President of the DLFNY. “We look forward to when we can join with all of you again in person to share in the news and innovation from the industry, its practitioners, and our community.”
Attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors should refer to the LEDucation.org website for additional details.
