Tyler Jennings appointed Vice President and General Manager to drive the growth of the Casambi ecosystem in North America
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tyler Jennings as VP and GM for North America. Tyler has extensive experience in several executive positions in the lighting industry, and he joins Casambi from his previous role as Vice President and General Manager, North America at Legrand.
According to Tyler, Casambi's combination of great technology and a great team was an opportunity too good to pass up, adding that he aims for Casambi to be the intelligent lighting go-to partner for the lighting industry. "Casambi is making it easier for specifiers, building owners, and integrators to get best-in-class lighting controls solutions.", he says.
Tyler says that the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh is in its infancy in North America but he is confident that it will grow to become the dominant interconnecting platform, "Casambi provides a secure, smart, quick platform to build on for our partners. We will collaborate with sensor, switch, driver, and luminaire manufacturers who would like to market smart lighting without the hassle of building or supporting a firmware/software platform themselves".
Casambi CEO, Kari Mettälä, says, "We are thrilled to have Tyler join us. His extensive background and competence in managing growth businesses, as well as his knowledge of both lighting, control, and IoT/BMS domain, make him an excellent addition to our team, not just in North America, but globally".
Tyler adds that the Casambi solution is being warmly embraced in the US, "In my first weeks, our message has resonated as we actively continue working with leading luminaire, driver, and sensor/switch companies. We look forward to the day when there are millions of Casambi powered lighting nodes across North America”.
