TIANJIN, CHINA – DuPont (NYSE: DD) Electronics & Industrial business (“DuPont”) and Tecore Synchem Inc. (“Tecore”) announced an exclusive collaboration agreement, leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties, to deliver jointly validated optical grade epoxy products to customers globally.
Fine-pitch LED display has seen healthy growth globally in the past few years. While the COVID-19 pandemic has directly impacted the global economy, applications for indoor and outdoor fine-pitch displays have evolved to meet changing consumers’ needs and industry dynamics. These displays offer energy-efficiency, durability and high brightness, and researchers anticipate the global small pitch display market will grow at a CAGR of 25% over the next five years.1
This collaboration is a strong and strategic fit that leverages respective strengths of the two companies. Over the years, Tecore has established deep expertise and unique know-how with filler selection, treatment and blending. Integrating these specialized considerations into their development and production process has helped to achieve optical grade epoxy materials optimized for fine pitch direct view LED applications. Through this collaboration, DuPont will be able to accelerate the reach of these moldable solid epoxy materials through its global network, enabling customers to benefit from a broader portfolio of DuPont LED and other display materials including Duroptix™ optical encapsulants and die attach adhesives.
