Date Announced: 01 Sep 2011 Integrated System Technologies (IST) Limited has announced record profits for its recent financial year, as well as an expansion to its UK manufacturing facilities.IST financials met with board expectations, thanks in large part to the company's investment in the LED driver and LED lighting fixtures market. The board has also expressed its belief that the company will continue to grow into the next financial year. The manufacturing expansion is in response to this growing market demand for energy-efficiency lighting products. The Force 24 LED driver and the iDrive Quad LED driver were launched in 2010, while the most recent LED-based addition was the DALI driver, released in July 2011.+++Press Release+++Integrated System Technologies (IST) Limited, the British designer and manufacturer of iDrive® intelligent LED lighting solutions, announces record turnover, profits and an expansion to its UK manufacturing facilities for its most recent financial year. IST had forecast a strong 2010/11 financial year and results were in line with board expectations, with IST making significant progress in the LED driver and LED lighting fixtures market. Following strong growth in turnover (51.9%) and profitability (269%), the board is confident that IST will continue to grow strongly in 2011/12, as the lighting market transitions to LED lighting. Following substantial investment in new product development during 2010, several new LED driver products were launched into the market, based on the eco-DSP digital signal processing platform. The highly versatile and compact Force 24 driver was introduced in August 2010 and was rapidly specified internationally on several large landmark projects during the year. The Force 24 provides up to 672W of power on 24 individually addressable LED output channels, all within a 1U 19” rack mounted system. In December 2010, the iDrive® Quad, was launched, providing up to 120W of power over 4 independent LED outputs, enabling R,G,B, W applications to be supported. The iDrive® QUAD was one of the first RDM complaint LED drivers that could deliver up to 1000mA per channel with up to 120W.In July 2011, IST launched its first DALI based LED driver based on 32 channels and 672W of LED power in a 1U rack mounted system. In January 2011, IST established an in-house manufacturing facility to help service its OEM partners to design and produce LED lighting fixtures. The manufacturing capabilities have been ramped up during the year to cater for increased demand for energy efficient LED lighting. The facilities have enabled IST to reduce lead times for delivery to OEM customers, whilst providing high quality lighting solutions. This has enabled IST and its partners to compete effectively against low cost, low quality products entering the supply chain that require high logistical support and stock investment, which are out of favour due to general economic conditions.IST has also signed an additional two distribution agreements for its LED driver and LED lighting ranges to cater for bespoke projects, whilst enabling the team to concentrate on servicing its high volume OEM customers. During the year, IST invested heavily in its intellectual property portfolio and submitted several new patent applications covering LED driver innovations due to be launched during the next financial year. Several new patents were granted in the USA and Japan, including the Illumination Control System for Light Emitters, which covers the use of optical feedback to regulate the colour and CRI of an LED fixture. In addition, the ICSLE patent examines the uses of hybrid lighting and constant lumen operation. The Scattering Cold Illumination Light Source patent was granted in Japan, enabling the non-imaging LED lighting solution to be provided for high quality lighting. In order to capitalize on its investment in R&D and innovation, IST will shortly be launching at least two new OEM based LED luminaire product families based on its IP portfolio to deliver high quality variable CCT control lighting in a cost effective manner. Dr Geoff Archenhold, Director, commented: "We have made substantial progress over the last financial year by creating additional capacity in sales and production, whilst heavily investing in new product development. Our current strategy focuses on innovation, quality and customer service and this model has led to a fourth consecutive year of growth in excess of 50%.The new product roadmap and innovation pipeline developed in 2010/11 will lead to continued growth and expansion for the next financial year and future order book intake has increased dramatically as the newly launched products increase market penetration.Several new products to be launched in 2011/12 include the iDrive® Quattro, iDrive® DALI+ 10-40W DALI driver range, a new range of high PFC, low cost single channel constant voltage and constant current drivers, specifically for the high volume market. IST intends to launch its first internet enabled LED driver, iDrive® Thor 36 to enable management of lighting systems anywhere in the world. IST will also introduce a range of new LED lighting designs for OEM customers to include a 60lm/W 50W MR16 true equivalent and a 2x26W CFL equivalent downlight, with several other OEM design and supply deals already in final negotiations for launch during 2012.Finally, IST has expanded their technical development and rapid prototyping facilities, with additional engineers joining the consultancy team. IST can now offer a comprehensive LED design service to develop LED lighting for OEMs, incorporating CFD and thermal modeling and 3D product development with integrated electronic ballast development, which is expected to yield additional customers and production use.Overall we very are encouraged by what has been achieved again last year and look forward to significant progress during 2011/2012."IST will be exhibiting from 5th-6th October, 2011, at Strategies in Light Europe, Milan, so please come and visit us to find out more about our new products.
