Sunnyvale, CA -- Enlighted Inc. has announced that it has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of two new members. Deron Miller, who recently served as MicroStrategy’s (MSTR) senior vice president of Americas Sales, has joined Enlighted as executive vice president, North American Sales. Mark Golan has joined as Enlighted’s first president of products and applications, coming from Adura Technologies, Inc.
Miller brings to Enlighted more than 30 years in sales leadership for a diverse set of global technology companies. At MicroStrategy (MSTR), Miller was responsible for growing the total bookings in the Americas to $365 million in three years, an organic increase of approximately $120 million. Prior to MicroStrategy, he served as senior vice president of Americas Sales at Nuance Communications (NUAN) and was instrumental in growing the Americas sales organization from approximately $100 million to $400 million in revenues in two years. At Adobe (ADBE), Miller served as senior vice president of sales, responsible for the 220-person Americas Enterprise and Media & Publishing sales organization. Miller also served in executive sales roles at Macromedia (MACR), Matrixone, Inc. (MONE), Genesys Telecommunication Labs, Inc./Alcatel (ALA), and Informix Software, Inc. (INFX). Miller will oversee the expansion of Enlighted’s newly launched Global Energy Optimization (GEO) program, the first of its kind Energy Savings-as-a-Service model for LED lighting and controls. Currently, the offering has been implemented in 228 customer sites—including Fortune 500 retailers and global telecommunication companies—with 19.4 million square feet installed across 30 states to date. "Enlighted is experiencing extraordinary growth bringing the Internet of Things to commercial real estate. The company is tapping into an enormous opportunity—in addition to advanced lighting control, there is no limit to the types of efficiency, productivity and security applications that can be built on top of our wireless sensor network,” said Miller. “Enlighted offers an outstanding solution that has been met with incredible customer enthusiasm. I look forward to leading our sales organization as we grow our footprint in existing markets as well as aggressively expand into new segments.” Golan brings extensive experience in real estate, technology and finance to his new role. During this time, he served as vice president of worldwide real estate and workplace resources, where he directed the company’s global real estate portfolio and associated services. As president of product and applications at Enlighted, Golan and his team will develop and deploy innovative and transformational applications using the Enlighted sensor platform. Golan is also responsible for product management activities throughout the company. “Enlighted is pioneering one of the most fundamental shifts in technology taking place in commercial real estate today,” said Golan. “Our company is uniquely positioned to transform how work gets done in commercial buildings by sensing the environment and providing cost effective applications that improve worker and asset productivity.
