Nuventix introduces new SynJet cooling solutions for low-bay and track-lighting markets
Feb. 6, 2012
Date Announced: 06 Feb 2012 Santa Clara, CA – Following a strong 2011 that included a more than 300 percent increase in revenue and business in more than 50 countries, Nuventix, Inc., developer of SynJet thermal management solutions, added to its SynJet line with the ZFlow 90, SpotlightCooler 70W and a new series of tracklight and recessed adjustable solutions.Nuventix will be showcasing the new products along with its full line of SynJet technology at Strategies in Light 2012 in Booth #610 from February 7 to 9. “The widespread use of SynJet cooling products continues to validate that SynJet is the cooling solution of choice for high brightness LED lighting,” said Jim Balthazar, CEO and president of Nuventix. “With almost 1,000 customers in 50 countries worldwide, we see the progression of LED lighting continuing to rise at a dramatic pace with SynJet at the center.” The ZFlow 90, Spotlight Cooler 70W is the most powerful SynJet cooler and heat sink available, capable of handling 90W of LED input power for high power spotlights, downlights and low-bay lighting applications. Created for small, lightweight and cost effective designs, the new spotlight cooler provides up to 10,000 lumens of white light in a 134mm form factor. Building upon the strengths of its predecessors, the 70W spotlight cooler offers more than 100,000 hours of run time at 70oC and near-silent acoustics, which are well suited for retail stores, small manufacturing facilities and other indoor facilities with high ceilings. This 70W addition is also the first step in launching a new line of SynJet coolers, available in late 2012, that will enable high-bay LED lighting applications of up to 20,000 lumens in larger retailers, warehouses and manufacturing facilities.Nuventix is also making improvements inacoustic performance with a new line of tracklight and recessed adjustable solutions that reduce acoustics for noise-sensitive environments. With a new architectural shape and industrial design that features the SynJet sitting on top of, not in, the heat sink, airflow through the system is improved to maximize cooling and minimize audible sounds. The new design creates a quieter SynJet capable of achieving a 3,000-lumen output. That SynJet acoustic profile setting, which won’t change over time, falls below that of a whisper – making it perfect for applications in homes, museums, retail stores, offices and anywhere that sound is a factor. This new product series will be available in the second quarter of 2012 through Nuventix’ global network of distributors. Added Balthazar: “After a record performance in 2011, we expect to more than double our install base in lighting this year. What we bring to the solid-state lighting industry – lighting applications that run brighter, quieter, longer and greener – is unmatched.”
