Date Announced: 25 Aug 2009 Atlanta, GA -- Felix Zandman of Vishay Intertechnology will be honored with NEDA’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming 2009 Executive Conference in Chicago. The award is presented to an individual who has made singular and unparalleled contributions to the development and success of the electronics industry and electronic distribution, throughout a lifetime of exceptional personal achievement. In NEDA’s 70 year history, this will be the sixth time this award is presented. Dr. Zandman joins other industry legends as an award recipient: Jerry Sanders, AMD; Gordon Marshall, Marshall Industries; Seymour Schweber, Arrow Electronics; Robert Galvin, Motorola, Inc.; and Tony Hamilton, Avnet, Inc. Dr. Zandman founded Vishay Intertechnology in 1962. Under his leadership, the company has become a leading global manufacturer of passive electronic components and semiconductor components. His achievements and distinguished awards include the Order of Merit for Research and Invention (France), Distinguished Contribution Award from the American Society for Stress Analysis, Franklin Institute Medal for Science, Best Strategic Investor Award from the Israel Manufacturers Association, and Legion of Honor awarded by the President of France. NEDA is pleased to bestow the Lifetime Achievement Award to a very deserving industry innovator. The presentation will be a highlight of NEDA’s meeting, to be held at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel November 1-3, 2009.
