EuroLED announces record number of delegates at June show

Date Announced: 30 Jun 2009 Aston Science Park is delighted to announce that euroLED 2009, Europe’s Leading Conference, Exhibition and Gala Dinner for the Solid State Lighting industry, was an outstanding success with a record number of delegates coming along to find out more about LEDs and their future developments. The sixth annual euroLED show took place on 3rd & 4th June at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. This year’s event was supported by five key premier sponsors Anglia Lighting, EBV Elektronik, Future Lighting Solutions, Marl International and Osram, as well as Seoul Semiconductor sponsoring the conference, and Arrow sponsoring the euroLIGHT element of the show. The conference which took place over the two days was more successful than ever, with a plethora of high profile speakers from all over the world participating, including Dr Peter Schreiber, Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics & Precision Mechanics who presented on the replacement of laser diode modules by LED devices. Colin Beale, OSRAM Optosemiconductors, discussed Light and Colour whilst Dr Paul Miller from the National Physical Laboratory reviewed the measurement and accreditation associated with LED products.euroLED 2009 saw a remarkable 1340 delegates attend the show over the two days which is a 20% increase from 2008. This year’s exhibition space also increased by 20%, with over 75 exhibitors participating from all over the world, demonstrating that euroLED really is a must for anyone wishing to find out more about the emerging LED technologies. euroLED has now become a major international event with delegates travelling from all corners of the globe to be a part of the show. The 2009 show has seen representation from more countries than ever before travelling from 30 different nations including: USA, China, Taiwan, India, Brazil and Germany to name but a few!The euroLED gala dinner took place again this year, the second year running, on the 3rd June in the EON Lounge, Ricoh Arena and this was sponsored by the local regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands.
