Lightfair International celebrates 20th anniversary with record-breaking show

Date Announced: 14 May 2009 The 20th annual LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI), the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, ended last week with record-breaking attendance of more than 23,000 industry professionals and conference participants*. LFI 2009 in New York offered the most robust trade show and conference in its 20-year history. Boasting an exhibit hall of more than 170,000 square feet, the 2009 trade show floor — the largest space in LFI’s history — was sold out, featuring 475 national and international manufacturers showcasing the latest product designs and introductions, technological advances and lighting solutions. LFI 2009 has also announced the Best Booth Winners. For 100-200 Square Feet: ACDC Lighting (Booth #1369). For 300-400 Square Feet: NIPPO (Booth # 447). For 400-600 Square Feet: XAL, Inc. (Booth #2057). For 600+ Square Feet: Tech Lighting (Booth #2335). Optional Award of Distinction for Booth Concept: Belfer Group (Booth #1765).The educational program, which started two days before the trade show floor opened with the Daylighting and LIGHTFAIR Institutes, offered the largest, most diverse courses and seminars to date with more than 220 hours of programming over five days. This year, 120 industry experts presented 75 sessions, addressing topics that covered lighting fundamentals, software, applications, controls and solutions, as well as design innovation, product updates and case studies. Only at LIGHTFAIR were attendees able to explore the latest in lighting innovation and product updates and designs, as well as receive education in the industry’s largest and most dynamic educational conference—all together in one place. At the close of LFI 2009, the 2010 LFI trade show floor was already 76% sold-out, with commitments from more than half of the current exhibitors. The 2010 LFI Trade Show and Conference takes place May 12-14.
