Merlot Laboratories Inc. expands its smart series with color-temperature-controlled 8W LED smart bulb
Jan. 1, 2017
This new lineup is basically same product as the smart bulb used in the façade work of Chambit Seoul Lighting Fair. This work was introduced in LEDs magazine in November 2016.
Merlotlab’s new light bulb is very easy to install, so you can download the app and use it within minutes. With Merlotlab's mobile application, the color temperature can be tunable within the range of 2700k to 5700k, and also it supports dimming from minimum 0.4% to 100%. In addition, all the advanced features that were used for the smart ceiling light, which was launched in the first half of 2016, are compatible. More information about smart series can be found on the Merlotlab homepage.
The LED driver IC of the bulb was developed by Merlotlab with its own technology and various schemes such as flicker-free, power factor enhancement, over-temperature and over-voltage protection is all embedded in it. Moreover, internal wireless communication and the antenna sections are also perfectly combined with bulb. The compact module design supports omni-directional light emission with high reliability. The retail price is set to be 19$.
