The annual PLASA show, organized by the UK's Professional Lighting and Sound Association, takes place on September 10-13 in Earl's Court, London, and will as usual feature many manufacturers of LED products for the entertainment lighting market.
LED display maker Barco (booth J70) will showcase its MiSTRIP product, which made its debut on Bon Jovi's Mesh City tour.
MiSTRIP is part of Barco's portfolio of LED display technology that can be used in a wide variety of applications, from large free-form video displays to architectural visual design.
Another product, MiSPHERE, has a 360-degree viewing angle, an opaque, light-diffusing casing and the ability to play both full video & data. Barco says it bridges the gap between existing video and lighting products.
In addition, as only 20% of the surface area is taken up by the lightweight, flexible webbing, it offers unparalleled transparency for double hanging or multi-layering at distances. Color Web can even be lit through for maximum integration with other set and lighting elements.
Details of Hi-Res, as well as Artistic Licence's new Candle-Power product for LED dimming and colour mixing, can be found here.
Tryka L.E.D. Ltd (stand N47) will show its array of new LED luminaires, as well as its family of Intelligent Drive Systems – see Tryka to showcase luminaires and drive systems at PLASA.
Leisuretec Distribution will be exhibiting the Blues System of LED fittings and control systems designed for use in front and back-of-house technical areas - see Leisuretec to unveil Blues System of LEDs at PLASA 2006
