The Lighting for Tomorrow (LFT) organizers – ALA, CEE and UL – explain the marketing and promotional benefits for winners of this 10th anniversary international lighting and controls competition.
The 2012 LFT Competition has officially launched and is open to residential SSL products including indoor and outdoor fixtures, replacement lamps, controls and new this year, retrofit kits.

PRESENTERS:

Eileen Eaton, Program Manager, joined CEE in March 2006 and has worked in a variety of areas including natural gas, appliances and lighting. She leads several efforts as a member of the residential team including Lighting for Tomorrow. Eileen holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Shari Hunter, Business Development Manager, joined UL’s Commercial Team in 2009 having worked in Operations, Administration, Site Management and as an engineer in a variety of product safety categories. Shari holds a master’s degree from Santa Clara University and a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University.
Terry McGowan joined the ALA as their Director of Engineering in 2001. He also heads his own lighting consulting business, Lighting Ideas, Inc. which does lighting design, illuminating engineering and lighting education and training. Terry has an E.E. degree from Case Western Reserve University and some 40 years of experience with lamp and lighting technology.
