DYMAX has developed a line of light-curing encapsulants and potting materials, called Light-Cap®, that provide optimal protection of LEDs. Light-Cap materials can endure high operating temperatures, resist yellowing, and transmit more light than competing technologies. Offering better clarity, at higher temperatures than traditional epoxy, urethane, or UV doming resins, Light-Cap resins keep LED lighting brighter over time.

Light-Cap materials are low stress, so fragile wire bonds are not compromised during thermal excursions or normal operating environments. Light-Cap resins make LEDs brighter and increase production efficiency.

DYMAX also offers the BlueWave® LED visible light curing, high-intensity spot system that offers many advantages over traditional spot curing systems including no bulbs to change, cool cures, no warm-up, and constant intensity for thousands of hours. The BlueWave LED generates visible curing light using an array of surface-mount LEDs instead of traditional metal halide or mercury bulbs. This system emits over 3,0001 mW/cm2 of visible light (centered at 410 nm) and allows users to adjust intensity from 0% to 100%.
