Lasalle, QC Canada (October 19, 2023) Axis Lighting is launching EXTEND Outdoor Series, utilizing the signature family of Beam luminaires, which are known for their appealing indoor layouts. These all-weather luminaires bring the fluid design and minimalist style of interior lighting to the building façade, while maintaining a consistent architectural look. Designed for water-resistant, IP66-rated, and IK10 outdoor applications, EXTEND is also suited for wet indoor environments. The EXTEND Outdoor Series is designed for a seamless transition between the indoor to the outdoor, with visual continuity. The EXTEND 2 works seamlessly with Beam 2 Square and the EXTEND 4 complements Beam 4.
“Axis’ new, cost-effective outdoor lighting allows designers, architects and specifiers to create graceful lines of light that support visual continuity and complement the interior lighting,” said Alex Darvill, EXTEND product manager.
The wide choice of five glare-free optics – Flush (SO), Wall Wash, Grazing, Batwing, Asymmetric – allows further customization of the illuminated environment. Additional features include:
- Aperture width: Extend 2: 2 17/32” and Extend 4: 4 5/32”
- Lengths from 2’ to 12’ Standalone / System runs available
- Temperature range: -30°C (-22°F) to over 40°C (104°F)
- Tamper-proof hardware
- Sealed endcap with concealed fasteners
- Integral driver
