EuControls Announces Issuance of US Patent for Zigbee Lighting Controller with Sensors
LOS ANGELES, CA — EuControls Corp. (EuControls), an LED lighting controls company focused on the development of smart lighting controls, is excited to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent 10,299,354. This utility patent covers the invention of a Zigbee wireless operated dimming controller intended to be installed on existing dimmable LED luminaires. The controller works with the luminaire by phase-cutting the luminaire’s input power, while additional sensing capability allows the controller a degree of autonomous operation outside of gateway control.
This proprietary technology is applicable to lighting controllers in Zigbee wireless mesh networks that rely on a gateway for centralized rule-based lighting management. EuControls has exclusive rights to this patented technology that is already used in current products.
