Helvar Launches LOOP SELV60 LED Driver Series
Helvar is proud to present LOOP: our first looping mechanics for LED drivers. LOOP is a combination of an SELV60 LED driver with terminals, integrated strain reliefs and, in DALI drivers, additional control terminals for fast and accurate wiring. These new mechanics are optimized for independent usage applications where safe and stable installation is needed.
The drivers enable looping of mains and DALI wires with doubled input terminals throughout the driver, saving time and effort on a site’s actual wiring work. Bigger looping connectors allow quick cable connections, and also support a variety of wire thicknesses. Wires are secured to the driver with click-on cable clamps, and the strain relief cover clicks on effortlessly, securing connections without any need for screws. Installation on site is faster since not a single screw or tool is required–wires are secure in their robust, sturdy housing. Drivers with LOOP mechanics are ideal for independent use with Class I, II and III SELV60 rated luminaires.
Our first LOOP LED drivers are constant current drivers for 35W and 51 W, soon followed by DALI-2 versions and other power options.
LC51SE-CC-900-1400-LOOP is a 51W constant current driver having SELV60 output protection for safety and flexibility in top quality luminaires, giving adjustable current output from 900 to 1400 mA. Current setting is easy with accessory Helvar LED-lset resistors with values adjusted according to the LEDset specification. The driver output has a very low current ripple (less than 1 %) and is also suitable for DC use in central battery systems.
LC35SE-CC-350-800-LOOP is a 35W SELV60 driver, equally qualified to perform in top-class independent luminaires due to it's robust and sturdy LOOP mechanics. Output current ranges from 350mA to 850mA and is easily set with Helvar LED-Iset resistors. Very low current ripple (<1%), high efficiency and long lifetime up to 100 000 hrs are all default features of all Helvar SE Series product range.
