Welcome to LEDs Magazine's UV Tech Insights for June 9, 2022. Our June magazine issue is out now, and features a Product Spotlight on ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technologies. We have recently added this department to the magazine, incorporating components, finished products, and systems that we haven't covered in depth previously.

While collecting this Product Spotlight, I considered the breadth of application for such germicidal UV systems — water, air, and surfaces across many environments. Despite the different form factors and intended use of these UV systems, one thing stood out: the innovation and attention to features that enable operators to deploy disinfection units while protecting themselves, technicians, and any occupants in the space from UV exposure. We continue to seek that information in the products that we cover, as safety cannot be overstated.
