In this week’s News & Insights, we review what has resonated most with readers thus far in 2024.

Given our typical site activity trends, it’s not unusual to see a story or two concerning ams Osram in our most-read lists. This time, however, the surge in interest was notable around the company’s big micro LED news. When Mark Halper reported on Yole Group insights regarding ams Osram’s micro LED operations write-down and the subsequent confirmation that it would reduce its planned regional micro-LED fabrication activities, we saw leaps in traffic.

For a change of pace, we also looked at the most-read articles on our site published outside this calendar year. Thus we observed that readers responded to the August 2023 report on LED pioneer Shuji Nakamura’s nuclear fusion pursuits.
