Gregory Bachmann, President of DYMAX Corporation of Torrington, CT, the 2011 Connecticut Small Business Person of the Year. Mr. Bachmann, president of DYMAX since 2005, will receive the award May 24 at a breakfast ceremony at Amarante's Sea Cliff in New Haven, CT, Bernard M. Sweeney, Connecticut's SBA district director, said in a statement Tuesday. "Greg's leadership and consistency to lead DYMAX into greater successes for decades to come is why he is being given this prestigious award," Sweeney said.Mr. Bachmann’s father, Andrew G. Bachmann, founded DYMAX in 1980, growing the company from an invention he developed in a basement laboratory into a global supplier of structural adhesives, coatings, encapsulants, and light-curing systems widely used in assembly applications.
