CARSON, Calif., August 6, 2024 – DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, continues to expand its product portfolio adding unique 4-inch LED recessed downlighting conversion kits. Designed to upgrade existing round 6-inch downlights to more architectural 4-inch fixtures or uniquely change a 6-inch round aperture to a 4-inch square downlight, the conversion kits are compatible with any standard industry 6-inch recessed downlighting housing having a volume of 60 cubic inches or larger.
The 4-inch Round and Square Conversion Kits are ideal for residential spaces or those 120-volt applications wanting TRIAC/ELV smooth dimming down to 1%, such as hospitality, healthcare and light commercial projects desiring an architectural upgrade.
“In addition to our enhanced dimming capability, all of our products have drivers that are integrated into the light engine modules versus the housing, so modules, equipped with quick connects, can be easily swapped out with below ceiling access,” said Ken Czech, vice president of new product development, DMF Lighting. “This allows for easy retrofit capabilities but also simple serviceability.”
The Precision Lock Collar, which installs into the existing housing, works with any drywall ceiling thickness and ensures a flush and secure fit.
The retrofit light engine modules are available in Downlight and Adjustable (360-degree rotation and 45-degree tilt) with tool-less field-interchangeable optics, which include 15-, 25-, 40-, 60- and 90-degrees, and Linear Spread and Soft Focus distributions. An Edison Adapter is included in the conversion kit.
Color temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and Warm Dim (3000K – 1800K) choices with a 93 color rendering index. Color variation is kept within a 2-step or 3-step MacAdam ellipse, depending on the chosen module, for unparalleled quality and consistency.
Meticulously designed for unmatched performance, the high-quality deep die-cast aluminum trim styles include Standard, Hyperbolic, Pinhole, Wall Wash, and Flangeless choices. Trims are wet painted for a rich, matte finish in a choice of White, Black, Bronze, Clear Diffused, Warm Diffused or custom color (RAL).
Featuring a sustainable design, the downlighting system is compliant with California’s Title-24 JA8, ENERGY STAR®, and Declare Listed. The fixtures are RoHS compliant, wet location listed and NSF Listed and DarkSky Approved to minimize glare, reduce light trespass and to not pollute the night sky.
