Premium LED Lamps Blend Sophisticated Design and Innovative Technology to Provide Sensory-Rich Experiences
LAS VEGAS, 2014 International CES - BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, announced the addition of three new elegant designs to its QisDesign brand of premium LED lighting fixtures. The BE Light, now available in stylish black, and the entirely new Compasso and Hatha bring contemporary designs inspired by the world around them to deliver sensory-rich lighting experiences with interactive features that brighten any environment.
"BenQ's new QisDesign premium light fixtures bring a new level of sophistication to LED lighting," said Bob Wudeck, Associate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at BenQ America Corp. "The collection's newest additions blend form and function by combining innovative LED technology with inspired designs. They are made to complement any setting, stimulate the imagination, and provide significant energy savings to users."
The entire QisDesign collection offers table, floor, wall, and suspension lamps that mimic the real-life wonder of a variety of life forms. The new models include:
BE Light: With its clever hinge design, the BE Light can be extended or folded to make efficient use of desk or floor space. The LED lamp's refined new metallic black finish further gives the light a stylish and sophisticated look. By capturing the inspiration from origami, the ancient art of folding flat sheets of paper into sculpted three-dimensional forms, the BE Light desk lamp provides both adjustable desk lighting and the ability to be contracted into a flat, seamless surface of only 0.75 inches, keeping desks and tables spacious and clutter-free. As with BenQ's entire line of QisDesign lamps, the BE Light uses light guide technology to evenly distribute its warm, white LED light without the slightest amount of glare from its light source. To adjust brightness and light intensity, users simply place their finger on the touch-sensitive power key, which automatically fades-in or dims down the light to provide just the right glow for any lighting situation. Also available as a floor lamp, BenQ's BE Light features SMT LEDs for longer lasting brightness than regular LED light sources. Available now, the BE Light Table Lamp retails for $550, while the BE Light Floor Lamp has an MSRP of $980.
Compasso: Inspired by the clear-cut precision of a geometry compass, the Compasso Light has been engineered for flexibility to allow users to customize the warm white LED light using the lamp's touch dimmer switch. For further lighting comfort, Compasso's sliding track along the lamp's arm lets consumers adjust the lamp to any height or placement preference — even 360 degrees via the unit's swivel base. Constructed using a combination of rubber, aluminum, zinc alloy, and LED light guide technology, the Compasso Light produces an even distribution of abundant light while consuming a maximum of only 12W of power. The result is a mixture of soft and ample light for illuminating any living space or work environment without compromising the lifestyle of design and energy-conscious consumers. The Compasso is available now at an MSRP of $680.
Hatha: With a flexible spine embedded into a rubber lamp shell, the new Hatha Light mimics the bend of the human body, allowing users to freely adjust the lamp to different angles and heights to meet their specific needs. Adopted with high power LEDs and lens design, the Hatha Light delivers sufficient brightness for reading use, and offers high light efficiency. The Hatha Light is available and retails for $450.
