LED Roadway Lighting Ltd. announces LED luminaire and additional lighting controls selected for 2014 IES Progress Report
Nov. 6, 2014
LED Roadway Lighting Ltd. (LRL) announced that four products were selected for inclusion in the 2014 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Report. The IES Progress Committee’s stated mandate is to "keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world, and prepare a yearly review of achievements for the Illuminating Engineering Society.” The following products were selected for inclusion and each was recognized as a “unique and significant advancement to the art and science of lighting.”
Latitude IQ: Latitude IQ is a non-networked control solution designed for performance, reliability, and simplicity. The product replaces a traditional photocell and mates with ANSI C136.41 compliant receptacles. Latitude IQ turns luminaires on and off based on GPS location (Global Positioning System) and time data and is also capable of dimming (factory programmed). It is an economical and reliable control solution that can be installed without the need for “back-end” monitoring and control infrastructure.
Lumen IQ: Lumen IQ is a wireless monitoring and control system that allows municipalities and utilities to manage their street lighting inventory, dim luminaires according to user-defined schedules for energy savings, measure energy consumption, and identify and action maintenance events such as luminaire outages.
Internal Smart Grid Solution: LRL’s Internal Smart Grid Solution provides integration of our NXT series luminaires with technology from leading smart grid networking providers. This innovative solution allows street lights to be controlled and monitored using the same network as other smart grid devices, reducing both energy and maintenance costs.
NXT-M: In September, LRL announced that the NXT-M luminaire was selected for the IES Progress Report. The smaller version of this product, the NXT-S, was recognized in 2013.
