Gigahertz-Optik light-color-spectral meter features Wi-Fi for remote solid-state lighting measurements

June 16, 2014

Gigahertz-Optik's BTS256-E WiFi includes all the features and functions of the standard BTS256-E meter plus a WiFi interface for long distance wireless remote control and data acquisition.

The meter measures fifteen different light-color-spectral quantities including photopic and scotopic illuminance, s/p ratio and EVE Equivalent Visual Efficiency Factor to fully qualify solid state lighting and any other type light source.

The BTS256-E has its own on-board back-lit display for stand-alone use or it can be used with its own supplied software. An SDK software development kit is also available.

Unique features like time delayed measurement, illuminance distribution mapping, two datalogger modes and user display set-up allow the meter to be configured for specific measurement tasks.

The WiFi interface comes in handy in large area outdoor and indoor applications such as sports and warehouse lighting where wireless remote control and datalogging of light readings is more practicable.
