New catalogue and website from Encapsulite International: illuminating by design
May 10, 2019
Following six months of research, seeking feedback from lighting designers and architects across the UK, Encapsulite launch their new product catalogue and website, both available to help lighting designers find the perfect fitting for their projects and their customers’ lighting needs.
With over 50 years’ experience in manufacture and design of lighting, Encapsulite continue to invest in new technology, with a focus on product development. Supplying interior and exterior lighting for a range of sectors including architectural, office, retail, stage, events, art and bespoke installations, Encapsulite are the manufacturer and supplier of choice to a broad and prestigious client list, including Nike, Adidas, Bentley, River Island, Selfridges, ITV, O2 and Google.
Clare Donnelly, sales and marketing manager at Encapsulite, explains the remit driving the new marketing,
“My first task, when joining Encapsulite last September, was to talk to our customer base – architects, lighting designers, specifiers and contractors - across all the sectors where the Encapsulite name is already well known and respected, as well as those where we would like to be more visible. I needed to find out exactly what information they required and how they wanted it presented to help improve the process of specification and the selection of lighting solutions. In response to those conversations, we have moved to a larger format catalogue – giving us the space to include large product images as well as a portfolio of lights in situ.
Clients said that they wanted product information to be available in a clear, concise way that could be easily searched, and we built their requests into the new website brief: we now have a comprehensive filter search facility across all products, with product datasheets and photometric data available for instant download, facilitating quick comparisons across potentially identified lighting solutions, including content for specific sectors and featuring case studies, while also enabling us to showcase some of our clients’ projects that clearly demonstrate the innovative use of Encapsulite’s products, as well as giving a flavour of the range of clients we work with and a context to our lighting.”
Recent Encapsulite projects include The Stanley Building, St. Pancras, where Encapsulite were selected by designers Into Lighting, for a lighting feature with a height of 20m. Encapsulite’s 24V Twin Sticks (with remote drivers), were suspended and cascade down from a metal grid at the top of the building. (IMAGE 1).
Encapsulite were selected by Pacific Technical to provide the architectural exterior lighting solution (in this instance, their MT50 option), for The Henderson Waves Bridge, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. The bridge mimics the undulating shape of a wave, curving and twisting along its entire 274m length, and is illuminated each night from 7pm to 2am. Encapsulite’s new brochure and website both feature more examples of innovative and varied uses of their lighting solutions.
