Aura Light brings on new lighting business development manager to boost 2016 program

Aura Light UK has kick-started the new year by appointing a new Business Development Manager, based at its headquarters in Telford.

Bob Ruddick has joined Aura Light UK where he will be responsible for new business generation and in particular, the growth of the company’s ‘Lighting as a Managed Service’ scheme launched late last year.

With an extensive background in sales growth and business development, Bob will be applying his knowledge and expertise in funding solutions to introduce the scheme to many more end user companies and organisations in the UK which can then upgrade their lighting scheme in an affordable, carbon-friendly way.

Bob has spent a number of years in the energy saving marketplace and has previously worked as a Loans Account Manager at The Carbon Trust where he was heavily involved in providing funding solutions, playing a key role in helping the growth of the Carbon Trust loans scheme. Bob has also worked with other companies where he focused on the development of external sales strategies built round the application of funding solutions.

The ‘Lighting as a Managed Service’ programme offers flexible funding options to help private and public sector organisations upgrade their lighting schemes using Aura Light’s energy efficient luminaires. The service plan covers the initial and ongoing consultation, design and installation of the new lighting scheme and is supported by full maintenance cover throughout the duration of the plan. The purpose of the programme is to make it easier for organisations to install affordable lighting with no financial outlay, which eliminates the need to raise any debt or capex and for private sector businesses it may sit off balance sheet. The overall scheme will save end user customers a significant amount of money in energy, installation and maintenance costs whilst benefiting from more efficient and better lighting.
