Welcome to LEDs Magazine’s Lighting for Health & Wellbeing newsletter for Dec. 18, 2023. As I have mentioned in other missives, in the new year we will move to a slightly more streamlined format without the long editor’s letter at the top. I hope you’ll let us know how this is received and also keep your suggestions for health and wellbeing news and articles coming.
We’re rolling to the end of the year and continue our review of top content by topic. The article that turns out to be the most viewed feature on our entire site for the year is the “Industry Insights” piece by circadian lighting researcher Dr. Martin Moore-Ede. He outlines an example the lighting industry can follow in order to develop an evidence-based strategy for circadian lighting — minimizing risk before government policy takes over. In other most-viewed content, LED lighting specialist Glamox noted that manufacturers should pump up public awareness of the fluorescent lighting phase-out ahead of its summer implementation. Finally, in an update on the UV-C LED outlook for germicidal applications, Kristin Lewotsky reported that various segments would develop at different rates.
We look forward to bringing you the full top 20 most-viewed stories of 2023 later this week.
