MechaTronix acquires Cooling House, strengthens market leadership in LED thermal management
Nov. 14, 2016
MechaTronix, part of the Eight Lakes Group and headquartered in Kaohsiung Taiwan, announced its next major milestone with the acquisition of Cooling House. Cooling House, based in New Taipei City Wugu Taiwan, is a technology leader in advanced two-phase cooling. Their high power cooling solutions are based on advanced heat pipes and thermosyphons. As experts in remote heat transfer, they can offer innovative LED thermal management solutions that save energy on an application level and that enable system builders to use higher performance electronics components.
Koen Vangorp, CEO of MechaTronix “We look forward to work close together with the highly skilled thermal and mechanical engineers from Cooling House. We will soon be transferring this knowledge into new state-of-the-art high power LED coolers. The first plans are on the table and it looks promising – lighter in weight, higher performance and bigger in capacity will be the key words. What we did with LED coolers for spot lighting, shop lighting and track, we will now repeat in the markets of high-mast, landscape, high bay and street lighting.”
Scottie Wang, CTO of Cooling House “MechaTronix will be our front door, our sign board, so we can focus on what we do best – developing cooling solutions which challenge the world. Besides LED cooling, Cooling House will strengthen the new ambitions of MechaTronix to expand their activities towards Air-to-Air coolers for power cabinets and servers and industrial electronics cooling.”
